Description:
Myra is eleven years old, and stands around a height of four-and-a-half feet tall. Where she lived, this was seen as average, but she can't help noticing that many of the other first-years seem taller than her. She weighs in at about seventy-eight pounds. Myra is semi-athletic, keeping active but not neccesarily joining in sports. She is generically described as slender.Personality:
Myra has large, aqua eyes that seem warm and friendly. Her golden blond hair varies in length, depending on how she has it styled. She has decently full lips and a beautiful smile with dimples, though it is seen only on occasion. Her skin is paler than most, but not a sickly pale, more of an ashen color.
Myra's fashion sense is a bit off. She prefers simplistic clothing some days, and elegant clothes the next. This is mainly due to the fact that she is attempting to find where she belongs. Trying to guess what Myra will wear next is quite a challenge. She often dresses how she is feeling, so simple clothes are more common for her.
Myra is a soft-spoken girl who likes to see the good in everyone. She is loyal and extremely dependable, very suiting of being a Hufflepuff. She is glad to lend a hand wherever it is needed. She stands by the few that have ever cared for her, no matter what.History:
While she is a good person, Myra is liable to be taken advantage of. She has been pushed around all of her life, even before Hogwarts. She's never had any real friends, just those who use her. She isn't one to cause trouble, and therefore never stood up for herself. If Hogwarts is different, it will certainly be a surprise to her.
Myra is a friendly girl, despite being treated coldly by others. She was quite pleased when it was decided that she would be a Hufflepuff. She is settling into her new home at Hogwarts, and is ready to learn the ways of witchcraft and wizardry. And hopefully, along the way gain some real friends.
Myra grew up with her mother and two older brothers. Her mother and oldest brother are muggles. Myra and her middle brother are half-bloods. Myra's father was, of course, a wizard. Her mother's name is Kindra. Her oldest brother's name is Kyle and he is seventeen. Her middle brother is called Mitch, short for Mitchell, and is fourteen years old. Her father is/was Reginald Canton, a Slytherin.Acceptance Letter: Erised
Myra's relationships with her family are rather complicated. Her father left them when she was two years old. She doesn't know where he is at this point, and doesn't really care. After her father left, Myra's mother stopped caring for her children. They only reminded her of her past mistakes, and she slowly slipped into depression and, possibly, insanity. She began going out partying every night, spending the little money they had. Her children had to start taking care of themselves.
Kyle despises his younger siblings. He had been the center of attention until they were born, not to mention that his mother wanted to forget him entirely after his father left. After his step-dad left, he began abusing his younger siblings. Mitchell had been closer to Myra, and the two had often played together. When Kyle offered him protection in exchange for helping abuse Myra, he couldn't help himself. Though he still loves his little sister, he has lost her trust.
Myra wants a true friend more than anything in the world, and she can't help wondering about her father. She tries to take a lesson away from every experience she has. She isn't a hateful person, and isn't the least bit vengeful, but can't help feeling resentment towards her family. She has so much to share with the world that she cannot because she is afraid to.
Myra's mother never told her that she was a wizard. Her discovery of it was completely coincidental. It was a particularly dreary day when Kyle burst into the house, clearly enraged. Myra had been attempting to finish her homework, but as soon as she saw Kyle she dashed for her room. Unfortunately, he was too quick for her and snatched her arm, nearly pulling it out of it's joint. Myra clenched her teeth and prepared for the usual abuse. However, Kyle had something completely different in mind. He snatched her hair and dragged her towards the fireplace. Myra, usually calm and collected, began to bawl. Kyle completely ignored her whimpering protests and shoved her arm towards the fire. Usually silent through whatever torture he inflicted upon her, Myra couldn't help shrieking out. "Stop!" With that, Kyle's shirt burst into flames. He leapt back and screamed as Myra stared in confusion, tears still streaming down her face. He hadn't even been near the fire! Myra slipped out the back door and climbed up onto the roof. That's where she would go when she needed some peace and quiet. As she sat there, an owl fluttered down next to her. Startled, she nearly fell off the roof. Noticing something gripped in the owl's talons, she tenderly removed what appeared to be a letter. She read it in disbelief, and when her mother returned home that evening, Myra asked about her father. Her mother, after seeing the letter, grudgingly told of how Myra's father was a wizard. And so, she learned that she was a half-blood witch.
