Description:
Adalia's about 5'5 ft tall, and has been the "tall girl" for as long as she could remember. She can't help feeling like a freak for being so tall, she's her mom's hight, and hopes to stay like that and not grow anymore.Personality:
She has long brown hair that reaches that grazes her waist. Locks wave here and there, though most of the curly concentrates itself at the tips of her hair. Adalia has spent the last two years to get it just at the right length, and though it gets on her nerves when ever it comes to washing and brushing it, which is every day, she loves her hair.
Adalia has eyes that seem to change from green to hazel, depending on the lighting. Her eyes are framed by long-ish eyelashes that go with that aristocratic face of hers. She is light skinned, and is of a small, slim figure. Every now and then Adalia feels insecure about her small-ish figure, but always finds a way to lift up her spirit and forget such nonsense.
Adalia wears thick rimmed glasses, though she only uses them once in the privacy of her room, during night, or when she's simply out of it. Most of the time, Adalia uses clear contacts.
Adalia is quiet most of the time, mostly spending her time reading a good book. She doesn't really care what the book is about, as long as she hasn't read it before. She'll read from the history of a country, to a spell book, to even a book describing the components of an atom detail by detail.History:
She's shy, though she's been woking on getting rid of that pesky habit. Now, she talks with nearly anyone she can, saying a "Hi" here and a "How are you?" there. If she has a question, she asks, when before she would have to convince herself into seeking help. If she sees someone new around and seem lost, and even if they aren't, Adalia now goes up to them and introduces herself, though every now and then she's still stopped by that old shyness of hers.
Adalia always thinks things through, though sometimes, when mad, she can say things that can hurt someone, getting carried away. She can get irritated very easily when frustrated, and usually warns people with a "Not now," through gritted teeth, letting them now that they better leave her alone at that moment or she'll simply snap.
People can trust her and depend on her most of the time, whether its to keep a secret or be there when a friend need her, however, she can be selfish.
Adalia comes from a family of five, she being the middle child. Her dad, James Edevane, has an older son, Brian, from his first marriage. He then meet Edeline Sallow after being a widower for two years, and eventually married Edeline.Acceptance Letter: LUMOS ate it
From his second marriage Adalia was born, and seven years later came Peresila Lee, both were named by their mother, only their middle name's were given by their father.
Adalia's father works as an attorney, and her mother gives piano lessons at their house, though every now and then she plays in concerts. It was like this that they received a letter in the mail from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Adalia and Brian laughed, thinking it was a joke, but when they saw their parent's faces, they quickly knew it wasn't a prank. That night they found out that Edeline was a witch, making both Adalia and Peresila half bloods.
That night their parents explained that before James had meet Edeline had been a very prestigious pianist, always being fought over for important events. She'd gone into the musical field after leaving Hogwart.
Edeline explained to James what she was when their relationship started getting serious, and when their first daughter was born, they decided not to tell her until it was time. Even though a lot started making sense to the children.
When ever Adalia would have radical mood swings random things would happen out the blue. If she would be picked at by Brian, like being chased with toad in his hand, a sudden gust would push him back on his tush or if inside, the rug would fold at the last second and trip him. Little things would always happen, but being kids, they didn't doubt it was anything but a coincidence.
Adalia cried when she was told that she had to go to the school and learn how to master magic, but knew there was no way around it.
And so, at age eleven, Adalia was sent to Hogwart.
