Description:
Personality:Young Eva Johnson, age 11, stands at about 5'1" when in her favorite Converses. She is very thin and willowy, possessing none of the normal baby fat that a lot of kids her age still carry on their youthful bodies. Her mother constantly tells her that she looks more like a supermodel than a stick, however. She has pale skin, seeing as she is from Italy but with an Irish family background. It's as though, for the life of her, she can never achieve a tan.
Eva's face is very oval-shaped, almost to a fault. While she can't stand her ears, constantly claiming that they are too big for her head, she is lucky to have a thick head of hair that she is always using to hide them. Her hair is a beautiful dark brown, though it sometimes can seem tinted with a lighter shade when in a certain light. It falls past her shoulders and down to the middle of her back in loose curls. However, when she straightens it the longest strands end around the small of her back, closer to her waist. Still, she's learned over the years that it takes more time than it's worth to work all the tangles out of it and so she tends to simply throw it up in a ponytail or in two braided pigtails.
While her cheeks are constantly rosy, they are complimented by her eyes, which appear a shade or two lighter than her hair, leaning more towards a shade of milk chocolate than a muddy brown, and can seem very intense when she stares at someone or something. Some people might even go as far as to say that it looks as though she could be staring right into a person's soul. Set perfectly in the middle of her oval face, they are still offset by her slightly too-small nose. Still, it is her smile that wins everyone over in the end, lighting up her entire face when she brings it out for the world to see.
Eva tends to dress differently than most girls her age, gladly trading in the pink and purple for black and red. While her parents believe it is just a stage she's going through at the moment, Eva is always telling them that it's a form of expressing who she is on the inside.
History:Eva is seen as a walking contradiction to the House of Gryffindor. While she is courageous and loyal, sometimes to a fault, she also possesses a darker side that can show itself should the need arise. Preferring black jeans and graphic t-shirts to the traditional pink and purple worn by the other girls her age, Eva is not afraid to express herself in any way that she can.
She constantly feels as though she has to prove herself to those around her, willing to take any dare or challenge to show that she is as capable as those whom she calls her friends. Still, she is humble and very outgoing. It is not uncommon to find her introducing herself to people she has never met except, more often than not, that's as far as the relationship ever goes. The truth is that Eva tends to prefer being alone to being around other people, liking the quiet that only seems to occur when she is off by herself.
Young Ms. Johnson is also a very studious student. She loves reading and studying many different forms of art in her spare time, always looking for more new topics that she can learn about. Still, that doesn't mean that she doesn't enjoy getting into trouble every now and again. Eva can be quite the prankster when she's in the mood. The most important thing people need to know, however, is that if someone is willing to take the time to get to know Eva, they could get the opportunity to meet a girl who is one in a million.
Acceptance Letter: Bane burned it because donna forgot to.On October 31, 2002, known as Halloween to anyone with a brain, Pure bloods Mark and Amy Johnson gave birth to a healthy baby girl in Rome, Italy. It was their first and only magical child, the hemorrhaging following the baby's birth rendering it impossible for Amy to carry another child. Deciding to name the girl after Amy's mother who had passed away only a month earlier, she was named Evangeline Johnson. Quickly, however, they realized that their daughter's name was too much of a mouthful and nicknamed her Eva.
The first few years of Evangeline's life were uneventful, until the day of her 3rd birthday. Having received everything that she wanted with the exception of a new pair of shoes she'd been dying to get, Evangeline became highly upset and literally blew up her birthday cake. Even though chunks of the frosting and chocolate cake now littered the entire dining room, her parents couldn't have been happier as they now knew for sure that their only daughter was as magical as they had hoped.
Things only became better from then on as Eva progressed more quickly, both magically and intellectually, than any other child her parents had ever seen. By the time she was five, her parents had gotten her tested and she was called a magical prodigy, something Mark and Amy were not afraid to boast about to all of their friends and relatives. It was also true that she possessed incredible talent in the areas of math and reading, though her mother and father weren't nearly as pleased with this.
Once the news was out about her abilities, it was only a matter of time before Mark suggested that they send her to Hogwarts when she was old enough. After all, it was the best school for young witches in all of Europe and, in Eva's parents' eyes, there was no other place for their little girl.
Therefore, the entire family couldn't have been happier when, at the age of 11, Eva received her letter of acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her parents had researched the various houses and had made the decision that, based on Eva's personality, Slytherin would surely be her new home. So, naturally, it came as a great surprise to them when she was sorted into Gryffindor instead. While Mark and Amy are secretly disappointed in the results, they still stand by Eva through letters and gifts as she begins her journey at Hogwarts.
