Okay, so I was thinking that Skye and Elita could have met on the train on the way to Hogwarts. They had ended up sitting in the same compartment, and hit it off decently. Both of them liked each other, but not like OMG WE HAVE TO BE BFFLS! Perhaps when Skye was sorted into Hufflepuff, Elita still liked her, but decided not to give her a chance to become a close friend?
