Description:
Safyer stands at 4'6 and weighs 110 lbs. She has waist length dirty blonde hair with soft brown-gray eyes. She has a really agile body with muscles that ripple when she moves. This young girl has slightly tanned skin and a dash of freckles across her nose and cheeks.Personality:
When she has done a lot of running or exercising her cheeks get red from the heat and a light sheen of sweat covers her forehead. Sometimes, if not all the time, Safyer wears her hair back in a ponytail to keep it out of her face.
When in classes she wears the robes of her House, black with the image of a lion in the upper lefthand corner. In the commons or on holiday she wears her normal, everyday clothes.
Safyer wears comfortable clothes of organic materials like cotton, wool, etc. Colors come in white, blue, purple, black, and pink. She wears other colors as well, but those are the main ones. Sometimes Safyer can be seen wearing a dress or skirt.... well most of the time because of the classes.
Safyer normally wears black, flat, feminine shoes whether in class or not. She finds her school shoes rather comfortable and usually wears them all the time unless running is required.
When Safyer is thinking she is usually sitting with her head in her palm and a faraway look on her face. Safyer is usually in this mode more than others because she likes to daydream.
Safyer is a timid yet compassionate girl. Being a half-blood is something she is proud of. She doesn't care what blood type someone is as long as they have a nice personality and she gets along well with them.History:
Safyer doesn't make friends easily, but with a little help this can change. Despite her being timid she isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes is right. If she saw a fight happen and the one that didn't start the fight gets into trouble then Safyer will go up to the teacher and give her version of the events.
Growing up Safyer has been a little afraid of meeting new people because of the childhood bullying she received and how her father treated her. Safyer spends most of her time reading and learning new things. She even sometimes explores, but only if she truly wants something to do.
This young girl does like swearing of any kind, but she only keeps herself clean of it. She can't make others stop using their choice words. Safyer is smart and caring. She will never leave someone behind who is injured and she will not willingly hurt someone unless there was no other choice.
Safyer dislikes fighting of any kind. She will help those that need help, but she will not go out of her way to look for a fight. She would rather stick her nose in a book and watch from a passive point of view to help the person who needs it the most, later.
When Safyer is around someone she doesn't like her face gets hot and she grits her teeth. She may not be into fighting, but being around someone she doesn't like certainly makes her angry.
Safyer loves to daydream. Its something that helps pass the time when something boring is happening or she wants to get away from all the noise and bustle around her. Safyer feels that not paying attention can be beneficial sometimes just as paying attention can.
With her friends Safyer is outgoing and funny. She loves to make jokes with them and she will do anything to make her friends laugh. For Safyer laughter is the best form of medicine imaginable. She can't imagine what life would be without any of her friends. It is not something she is used to and therefore cannot fathom.
Safyer was born to muggle Arabelle Callier and wizard Michael Jones. The two had married because of Safyer, but things at home were not pleasant. Growing up, Safyer's father mistreated her and often beat her and her mother. He was normally drunk from his wizard drinks and because he had a wand Arabelle feared for her daughter's safety.Acceptance Letter: Erised
Shortly before turning five Safyer began noticing weird things. She noticed that she broke a vase without touching it and and she even made a book fly through the air without meaning to. Safyer was always scared she would get into trouble, but her father, during one of his sober moments, said that it was normal.
Arabelle spent the first five years taking the brunt of the punishments and whenever Safyer went to school her fellow classmates, the ones that had magical parents like her father, told their parents of the wounds they saw from her. Time went on and finally Arabelle had had enough of her husband. She took her daughter and fled from their home with the little possessions they had. Michael told his sister who in turn rushed out into the night to find the mother and child.
However, she wasn't going to take them back to her brother. No this sister didn't like how her brother had become a monster and tormented his wife and child. Selwyn, the sister, soon found Arabelle and Safyer in a run down motel. From there she took the two to live with her and her own husband who took pity on her. The couple cared for Arabelle and Safyer and refused Michael to come anywhere near them.
So finally Michael divorced his wife and Arabelle was free of his cruel hand. She moved on to find another husband, one she loved and cared for. Selwyn introduced Arabelle to her childhood friend, Thomas Hampton, who had gone to school with her and Michael. This wizard was very different from Michael.
He and Arabelle fell in love and were soon married. He treated Safyer like his own daughter and did his best to make sure she was spoiled after the five years she had to endure of her father. Two years after Thomas and Arabelle married they were expecting their first child together. Safyer was excited to see if she had a little brother or sister. Of course she didn't have to wait long. Nine months passed and soon Safyer had a little brother to take care of.
While growing up with Thomas as her stepfather she learned of Hogwarts and everything that had happened in the past. Safyer knew that since she was of magical blood she would be going to the school and she wanted to. At the age of eight she moved into a different grade and away from the friends she had made while she was in preschool and kindergarten. This was when all the bullying and tormenting started.
Safyer started hating school and didn't want to go. Finally her stepfather ended up taking her and watching her daughter go to school. Then he saw the bullying. He talked to the teachers who promised they would deal with it, but they never did. Safyer continued to come home covered in bruises and cuts and black eyes. Thomas got sick and tired of this and took Safyer out of the school. Arabelle had become a teacher and started teaching Safyer at home so she could learn what she needed.
The years passed and Safyer finally got her letter to attend Hogwarts. The eleven year old was really excited and Thomas took her to get her things. First she got a wand which was made of cherry, was 9 3/4, and contained unicorn hair. Then she got the other things: the cauldron, the books, and she even got the robes she needed for school. Safyer was finally going to Hogwarts!
The girl was very excited and when the day came to go to the school she and her family went to King's Cross Station. There she met her Aunt Selwyn and their son who was also going to Hogwarts. Safyer and Richard, Selwyn's son, boarded the train and waved to their families as the train departed the station. The train ride took about six hours and when they finally arrived at the school the pair were really nervous. Richard held his cousin's hand as they entered the school. Of course he was sorted first and went into Hufflepuff while Safyer went into Gryffindor. Now it was time to start the year. What would be in store for Safyer? Would people here be different than when she grew up or would they be the same as ever? Only one way to find out.
