Description:

Aria is of moderate height, but a bit on the thin side. Because of her lack of muscle, Aria isn't particularly strong. She has a rather willowy appearance, but she doesn't mind this. The smaller, the more lithe; the easier it is to prank.

She has a oval face, riddled with many tiny freckles. They're faint, but coupled with her very pale skin, they're relatively noticeable. Her freckles cover her entire body, but seem to be most concentrated on her face. Underneath her right eye, Aria does have a mark- no one is really sure if it's just a darker freckle, or a lighter birthmark.

She has large blue-gray eyes, framed by long eyelashes. During the summer months, people have said her eyes lighten to a very clear gray. Her nose is shaped like a ski slope; the sloped tip has been said to give her a snobby appearance. Her lips are a paler shade of pink than most people. Her full lower lip compliments her thin upper lip. Overall, she has a pale, haunting appearance.
Unfortunately, Aria didn't inherit her mother's high cheek bones or sculpted jaw. Her face is ordinarily shaped, with no angles that would considered beautiful. She has a pretty sort of look, with soft features.

Personality:

Aria is a very naughty, mischievous little girl. She enjoys playing pranks on people, and their feelings about the prank matter very little to her. Coming from a very Slytherin family, they always told her to never mind others- little did they know that would work against them! Aria isn't selective in who she pranks. Her life of mischief have taught her to be sneaky, and she can be very quiet if need be.
Thanks to her innocent demeanor and her charmingly angelic smile, she rarely gets in trouble for any of her misdeeds. She's quite manipulative in this way. Her words and her innocent facade can convince even the sourest person that she's sweet and innocent.
Aria is frequently underestimated; she's very intelligent and quite ingenious. Deviously so, as some of her more unfortunate prank victims will tell you.
Her rather prestigious family has made Aria into somewhat of a snob. She's rich, so is used to the best of the best. She's quite mean to poor people and people of lower status. She's elitist, like the Slytherin are said to be. If she doesn't like someone, she doesn't hesitate to tell that that through a very snippy words... not particularly the nicest person though.

Apart from being very intelligent, Aria is very loyal. She values friendship and family a lot, and once her trust has been gained, it doesn't take a lot for it to be broken. And even though, initially, she's trusting, no second chances are given. Aria is easily hurt, since she's naive and always happy and smiley. She hasn't felt deep sadness.

One could definitely say Aria is a typical Slytherin: intelligent, cunning, (somewhat of an elitist snob), and having a great penchant for evil...

History:

Aria is the middle child of her family; her older sister, Aureline is in her fifth year, and her younger brother, Alexander is nine. She is a pureblood, and the Ellington lineage is an old and rich one (a fact she is always happy to rub in people's faces, or to get her in with the other rich and popular people).
Her mother, Angelie, was a French actress, also of noble birth. She went to Beauxbatons, but ended up running away from home when she was in her sixth year, and coming to live with her aunt and uncle in Britain. Her parents didn't really approve of her wish to be an actress, so she left them. After spending her seventh year at Hogwarts, she met James Ellington, another person of pure lineage. Suffice to say, they got married a few years after Hogwarts. Angelie never reconnected with her parents, although she did make it big as an actress, and a model. Aria and her siblings have never met their maternal grandparents.

Aria has been given everything she could ever want and more; anything she desired, she recieved. She's rather spoiled, not that she cares- she's rich and of generations-long pure lineage. Her parents are very well connected in the wizarding world, and she used to play with the children of some very high-status wizards. She's never talked to a muggle, nor talked of one. She's interested to meet one, but from the way her parents talk of them, they're smelly and muddy, and just dirt on the face of pure witches and wizards.

From a very early age, Aria had released little burst of magic here and there; pulling the rug from under people's feet, putting something sharp in the chairs and more. Accidental magic like this is what started her love of pranking; soon after realizing that anger could spawn such incidents, she set about making them happen. Her family isn't always perfectly enchanted with her, to say the least.

Neither of her parents have confirmed anything, but curious little Aria thinks that her grandparents were Death Eaters. Her mother went pale when Aria asked her about it, and refused to answer. Her father was similarly shocked and ashamed at the question. Her grandparents wouldn't tell her anything either. But Aria doesn't understand their hesitation- what's wrong with the dark arts. She wouldn't mind trying them herself...
