Werewolves have the ability to change into and out of wolf form, not on command. Every full moon a werewolf will transform into his full phase, becoming extremely dangerous to anyone around them. For this, the wolfsbane potion was created. The wolfsbane potion does not curse the effects of being a werewolf, but help the person make a clean and smooth transformation. It also helps with controlling yourself in werewolf form, not attacking people.
Below is a list of registered werewolves.

Listed below is a list of rules to be followed by a werewolf. If you catch any werewolf misbehaving please PM a staff member with a link to the thread.
"A werewolf comes into being when a person is bitten by another werewolf." 1. You must have some sort of explanation about how you were bitten, such as making a thread, ect.
"A werewolf when transformed is a fearsome beast indeed. All trace of human awareness is gone and the werewolf will attack any witch or wizard, including the werewolf's best friends." 2. You have NO control of your wolf form, but without another "lottery" you MAY NOT BITE another student.
"This transformation is triggered when the moon is full, although there is some evidence that a werewolf who is taking a regular regimen of Wolfsbane Potion will not transform until the moonlight actually strikes him." 3. As you are in school, you may be required to take Wolfsbane to help ease your transformation and even prevent it. During at least one thread a year, you must be in the Shrieking Shack for a transformation.
"A werewolf can be distinguished from a true wolf physically by several small distinguishing characteristics, including the pupils of the eyes, snout shape, and tufted tail." 4. Your wolf form is just that, A WOLF, but with the aforementioned slight changes.
5. You may only have one thread every three weeks, twice a "year", where your character is in wolf form. Mind you, I don't know where you're going to get people to roleplay with you, so good luck.
